SHIPPING POLICY

Effective Date: February 1, 2026

This Shipping Policy applies to all purchases made from AK American Builders (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

By placing an order, you agree to the terms outlined below.


1. ORDER PROCESSING TIMES

Standard (Non-Custom) Products

Orders are typically processed within 1-2 business days after payment verification.

Processing times may vary during high-volume periods, holidays, or supply chain delays.


Custom Products

Custom orders require:

  • 60% deposit

  • Final design confirmation (if applicable)

Production timelines vary depending on complexity, material availability, and shop scheduling.

Estimated production timeframes will be communicated at the time of order; however, these are estimates only and are not guaranteed.

Because custom products are fabricated to order:

  • Production begins within 24–48 hours after payment verification

  • Orders cannot be canceled after the 24-hour cancellation window


2. SHIPPING METHODS

We may ship via:

  • UPS

  • FedEx

  • USPS

  • Freight carriers (for oversized or heavy items)

Carrier selection is at our discretion unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Tracking information will be provided when available.


3. SHIPPING RATES

Shipping costs are calculated at checkout unless otherwise stated.

For oversized or custom freight shipments:

  • Shipping quotes may be provided separately

  • Additional freight handling fees may apply

All shipping fees are non-refundable once shipment has been dispatched.


4. DELIVERY ESTIMATES

Delivery timeframes are estimates only and are not guaranteed.

We are not responsible for delays caused by:

  • Carrier issues

  • Weather

  • Customs clearance

  • Supply chain disruptions

  • Incorrect address information provided by the customer

Once an order is transferred to the shipping carrier, title and risk of loss pass to the customer.


5. ADDRESS ACCURACY

Customers are responsible for providing accurate shipping information.

We are not responsible for:

  • Orders shipped to incorrectly entered addresses

  • Packages returned due to address errors

  • Additional reshipping fees

If an order is returned due to an incorrect address, the customer will be responsible for additional shipping costs before reshipment.


6. DAMAGED OR LOST SHIPMENTS

If your package arrives damaged:

  • You must notify us within 48 hours of delivery

  • You must provide clear photos of:

    • The product

    • The packaging

    • The shipping label

  • The original packaging must be retained

Failure to report damage within 48 hours may result in denial of the claim.

For freight shipments:

  • The customer must inspect the package upon delivery

  • Visible damage must be noted with the carrier at time of delivery

We reserve the right to repair, replace, or deny claims based on investigation findings.


7. LOST PACKAGES

If tracking shows delivery but you did not receive your package:

  • You must contact the carrier first

  • You must notify us within 48 hours of marked delivery

We are not responsible for stolen packages once marked delivered.

We recommend shipping to secure addresses.


8. FREIGHT & LARGE ITEM DELIVERIES

For oversized items:

  • Delivery may be curbside only

  • The customer is responsible for moving the item indoors

  • Someone may be required to be present for delivery

Failure to be present for scheduled freight delivery may result in re-delivery fees.


9. INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING (If Applicable)

Customers are responsible for:

  • Customs duties

  • Import taxes

  • Brokerage fees

We are not responsible for delays due to customs processing.


10. SHIPPING RESTRICTIONS

We reserve the right to refuse shipment to certain regions or addresses at our discretion.


11. POLICY CHANGES

We reserve the right to update this Shipping Policy at any time. The version in effect at the time of purchase governs that transaction.
