REFUND & RETURN POLICY

This Refund & Return Policy applies to all purchases made from AK American Builders (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) through our website or directly through our Services.
By placing an order, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to this policy.
1. ORDER CANCELLATION (ALL ORDERS)
Once payment has been verified, customers have twenty-four (24) hours to request cancellation in writing.
After 24 hours:

Materials may be ordered or cut
-
Production scheduling is initiated
-
Labor and shop time are allocated
Because these actions cannot be reversed, all sales become final after 24 hours.
Cancellation requests must be submitted via email to:
Requests submitted after the 24-hour window will not be eligible for cancellation or refund.
2. CUSTOM PRODUCTS
Custom products include, but are not limited to:

CNC-fabricated items
-
Personalized plaques
-
Custom tables or furniture
-
Engraved or modified products
-
Any item built to customer specifications
60% Deposit Requirement
All custom orders require a 60% deposit before production begins.
By placing a custom order, you expressly acknowledge and agree that:

Materials and labor are allocated specifically to your project

Custom materials may be cut, modified, or specially ordered
-
Production scheduling is reserved exclusively for your order
For these reasons:

The 60% deposit is non-refundable
-
Custom orders are final after the 24-hour cancellation period
-
Completed custom products are not eligible for refund
Remaining balances must be paid according to invoice terms prior to shipment or delivery.
3. NON-CUSTOM (STANDARD) PRODUCTS
Non-custom products may be eligible for return under the following strict conditions:
Eligibility Requirements

A refund request must be submitted within 48 hours of confirmed delivery

The product must be unused and in original condition
-
The product must be returned in original packaging

Proof of purchase is required
Refund requests must be emailed to:
Late requests (submitted after 48 hours from delivery confirmation) will not be accepted.
Restocking Fee
Approved returns are subject to a 20% restocking fee, deducted from the refund amount.
The customer is responsible for:

Return shipping costs

Proper packaging to prevent damage
Original shipping charges are non-refundable.
Refunds will be issued only after inspection and approval of the returned product.
4. DAMAGED OR DEFECTIVE ITEMS
If a product arrives damaged:

You must notify us within 48 hours of delivery

You must provide clear photos of the product and packaging

The shipping box must be retained until the claim is resolved
Failure to report damage within 48 hours may result in denial of the claim.
We reserve the right to:

Repair the product
-
Replace the product
-
Offer partial credit
-
Deny claims that show signs of misuse, improper installation, or external damage
5. NATURAL MATERIAL VARIATION
Many of our products involve natural materials such as wood and epoxy.
Variations in:

Wood grain
-
Texture
-
Knot placement
-
Color tone
-
Epoxy movement or pattern
are natural characteristics and do not constitute defects.
Such variations are not grounds for refund.
6. NON-REFUNDABLE ITEMS
The following are not eligible for refund:

Custom-built or personalized items
-
Items canceled after 24 hours
-
Deposits on custom work
-
Items showing signs of use
-
Items returned without approval
-
Clearance or final sale items (if designated as such)
7. CHARGEBACKS & PAYMENT DISPUTES
We strongly encourage customers to contact us before initiating a payment dispute.
By placing an order, you acknowledge and agree to this Refund Policy, including:

The 24-hour cancellation window

The 60% non-refundable deposit requirement

The 48-hour return request limit for non-custom products
-
The 20% restocking fee
Improper chargebacks may be contested with supporting documentation, including this policy and order confirmations.
8. REFUND PROCESSING
If a refund is approved:

Refunds will be issued to the original payment method

Processing times may vary depending on your financial institution

We are not responsible for bank processing delays
9. POLICY CHANGES
We reserve the right to update this policy at any time. The version in effect at the time of purchase governs that transaction.
